It's one thing to build a life-size suit to look like one of the most iconic videogame characters of all time, but another altogether to make it completely out of LEGO. Remember how many hours and/or days that one LEGO train-set took you to build? Well, how long do you think it would have taken Ben Caulkins to build a life-size costume of Master Chief, the lead character of Microsoft's HALO game franchise.

The Brothers Brick features something of a diary by Ben Caulkins, describing the time and effort that it took him to put together this epic LEGO masterpiece. It's unsurprising to know that it took a great deal of planning for Ben to chalk out how he would go about building his costume. The head took the longest to figure out, and Ben had to spend a long time scrounging around for the right materials to make the head look great and remain proportionate to the rest of the body.
He continued the process of building from top to bottom, finishing up with the feet. The Master Chief suit stood up to the rigours of everyday life (and children) at the LEGO Fun at Lyndhurst festival, in which Ben not only showcased the suit, but actually wore it and walked around in it for quite a while with minimal damage.
Ben has a photo diary on Flickr detailing his journey, and has been featured by several publications including the Wall Street Journal blog, and Gizmodo, in the past.
