a_TJdJR_17340It’s quite common to read about cars being rodded and bikes being modified. It is not everyday that you run into a vehicle, which can be a pushcart, a trike and a boat, all at the same time. A really creative and talented Greg modified his Triathlon machine Kettwiesel trike into a human powered boat. Greg selected a fly fishing boat and replaced the not-so-great floats with those he thought were appropriate and maneuverable. The propeller that rotates to push against the air is driven by a roller. This roller in turn rubs against the wheel and turns a cable and the cycle continues. The front wheel is replaced by the rudder, the racks behind the seat hold panniers and the conversion kit is so compact that it can all fit into packs. The best part of the vehicle is that the floats can be inflated simply by peddling. Now you can take ride your trike to a highway near the river, push it off the highway with your fishing gear like you would do with a push cart, and then inflate the floats by peddling to go boating and fishing.
