Just yesterday we saw the roll-to-roll fabrication at its best, in the OLED display tree erected at the GE headquarters in NYC. And today we have something from the other side of the world, which sees an introduction of a series of flexible displays exhibited. Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) takes the opportunity to introduce Active Matrix OLED displays, along with roll-to-roll cholesterol liquid crystal displays and electrowetting displays.

The AMOLEDs from ITRI measure 4.1-inch and can be used in the production of flexible OLED and roll-to-roll panels, these like any other OLED displays is capable of displaying images even when curved owing to their make in plastic substrates. The roll-to-roll process has reached 6.9-inch with the ITRI’s displays, and the 10.4-inch QVGA single-layer multi-color cholesterol liquid crystal displays have also been made public.
