A robotic system to store books at the Utah University
We've had it all over the place in the past and the latest place where the word 'robotic' seems to fit in almost fittingly is the library. Wondering what the word is doing in this domain, well, we know have a robotic system to store over 2 million books in a library.

When the books in your library begin to swell beyond the available space, what can you do! Probably constructing another building for the storage is the only option and only if you are as wise as the authorities at the University of Utah could you do something else.
All that you require is $12 million to construct one of a kind of a compact book storage system just as they do at this automated retrieval centre at the Marriott Library of the Utah University.
The robotic storage system puts the books in bins that are placed one atop the other for 3 1/2 stories. Wonder how much space that saves for the library...a mammoth 80,000 square feet.
