A Robotic Chair that assimilates itself

When empathy would become a part of subject knowledge in any technology and the outcome would be a success, it would be the best era of mankind, which would see him living in harmony with the machines. A kind of stepping stone in this technology is the robotic chair developed by Peter Lynch. Although it is just a tailpipe beginning, it could well act as a cornerstone for much advancement to come. Imagine a chair that disintegrates itself into shuttered pieces and then within a performance time of 6 to 12 minutes manages to unify as one again. All that it uses in its cause is a laptop with custom software and a video camera. A custom based robot charged with the ability of locating disintegrated parts does the trick in its case. Check the Video after the Jump to see how aptly the performance happens.
