A portable DVD player aimed squarely at the youth

Here is a portable DVD player designed for the younger set. At least, that is what it's makers, Schaub Lorenz have aimed to do with this colorful DVD player named SL 768PDV. We think that a few colors are a little bit too garish for our liking, especially the pink and the red ones. Thankfully, the other colors are pleasing to the eye. Coming to what these portable DVD players have on the hardware front, we have a seven inch LCD screen on this notebook PC styled DVD player. The DVD discs can be inserted into the circular flap that sits on the top of the DVD player's base.

Controls are very visible and easily accessible, right next to the circular flap. A built-in speaker lets you enjoy the DVD movies on the go and if you don't want to disturb people around, you could plug in earphones as the DVD player has a earphone jack built into it. Now, to give the DVD player it's portability, power is fed to this DVD player via a rechargable battery that can be detached when not in use. The detachable function, we assume is to make it possible for users to plonk in new batteries once the batteries start losing their charge retaining capacity. Nice touch there. This portable DVD player is currently on display at the China Sourcing Fairs at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong.
