Most of us think that the best time to ponder over our worries is at night before we fall asleep. We even tend to talk about our problems in person and it is definitely nothing unusual. What is better suited though is to find a solution to our problems in the morning, as we are in a better state of mind and therefore a pillow with a microphone capable of recording what we say at night is a good innovation.
In the morning this pillow renders a printout of the problems we talked about at night for us to take a decision about them. Embedded with speech recognition software, this microphone was developed by Edinburgh Napier University student Nekani Guezala and was exhibited at the Edinburgh Napier’s Creative Showcase.
Even psychologists suggest a similar remedy to people who complain about sleep-related disorders. Nekani organized a questionnaire and discovered that people spent 40 minutes pondering over their worries before sleeping on an average. If this pillow becomes readily available on the market, it would relieve patients of the fuss of writing down their worries, for a printout would be readily available every morning and you would merely need to think of rational solutions.
