A musical Lego creation that grasps the core

Lego creations are seen day in and day out, not just excreting the geeky frustration, but filling the void that's often created. The Lego creation pictured here is the XILO, it sure is arachnid looking but just to clarify, it's not one from the same clan but a unique musical brilliance instead.

Appearances are despective perhaps that is why even I mistook this genius for some arthropod initially. However, Xilo is a machine made of Lego's that can play the xylophone. It plays music by striking the chromed metal tubes according to your movements.

Xilo uses two motors, one to rotate the RCX on the central Technic turntable (that has a light sensor attached) to move the 'whacker' from note to note, while the other drives a rubber-band-loaded motor to strike the metal bars to play the notes. You don't necessarily need a xylophone to create one of these yourself, you could simply use the tubes from a wind chime instead.
