HP personal system has showcased a metal watch which would function as an aggregation point for connectivity. The concept watch, demoed at HP's Future of Innovation event can interconnect all your internet devices. This metal watch is the brainchild of watch company, Fossil and HP personal system. How the device would function is still a mystery as many details were skipped by HP, CTO Phil McKinney.

While introducing the watch, HP, CTO, Phil Mc Kinney said that "I revealed some concept models of what we referred to as the 'connected watch'. So the concept was that the watch would become the aggregation point for your connectivity.” A question arises here is that a separate integration technology for laptops and tablets is a good facility or not. HP's ultimate ambition is not clear in this context. But still, the watch would be helpful for a user as he could connect with the cloud and personalize his information by referring to it. The user can derive information by using this device and he can also interact with the other wireless information devices. It is still not clear that the Metal Watch would include a web browser for browsing or not. But, McKinney is hopeful that it can be used as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot in the future.
