A massive 22 mega pixel camera from Mamiya
Mamiya has come out with a whopping 22 mega pixel camera and named it as the Mamiya ZD digital camera and it will be made available in Japan any time while the world will have to wait for this 22 mega pixel beauty till early 2006.

Going by the looks of the Mamiya ZD, it looks like the usual 35mm D-SLR camera and can also accommodate Mamiya's 645AF lenses. The camera will give a resolution of 4008 x 5344 pixels and can capture images at the rate of 1.5fps.
Considering the large file sizes the camera accepts both CF and SD cards. The images can be downloaded using Firewire as the company has ignored the use of USB2.0 for performance reasons. Firewire is notably much faster for continuous data transfer.
The built-in 22 mega pixel CCD imaging sensor produces sharp, high quality rich tones. The camera uses the Mamiya's exclusive 14-bit A/D converter; It also has a built-in 1.8 inch LCD imaging preview screen.
The camera is also equipped with Mamiya's Digital Photo Studio software that offers capturing, processing and editing solution in both MAC and PC based computers.
The price of the camera has not been announced yet.
