Twitter has made people go crazy with its microblogging concept. A new entrant who has gone ahead to exploit the advantages of tweeting and is planning to carry the same till space is a robot. Developed by a team at Tokyo University and Dentsu Inc. is a robot that can tweet. JAXA, Japan’s space agency, has divulged that to watch the mission and accompany astronauts, it is thinking about placing a humanoid robot that can converse on the International Space Station. With capabilities to examine an astronaut’s physical condition and anxiety levels, it will have the potential to be in touch with earth through Twitter.

Coming with an added advantage of being used by the aged, the robot will be able to transmit emergency warning signs to the hospital if they spot any irregularity in their owner. The android will be packed with an ability to strike up a conversation with astronauts and will look real with facial expressions. Uploading pictures and information will be these human-like moving machines, also capable of carrying out tasks which may prove to be a risk if performed by an astronaut.
