A helmet with a rear view

After ten years of development, manufacturers Reevu have designed a helmet which comes with an integrated rear view mirror system that was launched last week in Munich. The helmet has a built-in 180 degree unbreakable rear-view mirror system. This system improves situational awareness and hence prevents accidents. A system of unbreakable mirrors constructed out of ABS is used, which is placed inside the helmet shell and provides a window in the top of the helmet opening.

The helmet has been designed and created by the UK based company Reevu and the helmets are being hand-assembled by specialist helmet manufacturers in Italy. Reevu expects this helmet to sell at around US$399, when it launches in early 2006.
