This SD Card by A-DATA about to make its debut in CES 2007 is the world's first card with a display or as technically called bi-stable display.

No it's not a fancy enhancement attached to a simple SD card but a very functional improvement that will display the name of the card and the available space on the card.

With so many gadgets these days using SD cards the idea is not bad as now the users will not have to plug them into card reader to see how much space is left on their card.

The A-DATA's info card uses the Bi-stable display technology which does not require additional power to work. The SD card is capable of showing first two initials for the name of the card and in rest 4 digits it displays the free memory via auto-calculations.

So you can think of getting rid of your card readers in the near future.
