A Bluetooth robot that remembers human faces

It is a great idea to keep a robot that can recognize human faces once it meets them. You simply need to use your Bluetooth device to control the robot. Yes, we have now such a humanoid robot what I may call Bluetooth robot for all practical reasons. Just out from Robot Labs of Japan, the Bluetooth robot is Pirkus-R Type-01 DX.

The Pirkus-R Type-01 DX is 30cm tall and looks like a human being. It has the face recognition ability which makes the device to tell you whether it has met a particular person before. The robot features actuators and gyro sensors. Its weight is just one kilogram. It can walk and show several tricks to entertain you.

The Pirkus-R Type-01 DX is powered by Bluetooth technology. I mean you just need to use a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to control the activities of the robot. However, all the mobile phones do not support the Pirkus. The mobile phones running on BREW-based communication software will work as remote controllers for the robot.

However, you may look your pocket twice before purchasing the robot due to escalating price. It is something around ¥249,000 or £1,090.
