Outlandish LEGO Spaceships - May the force be with you!

It is pretty difficult to create replicas to scale, be it Lego or otherwise and this wonderful model of the Invisible Hand from Star Wars Episode III is something that should please the followers of General Grevious. Around 73 inches long and weighing a good 30 pounds, there has been plenty of time, effort and many, many Lego pieces that have gone into it.

It is one thing to build a little spaceship with the Lego blocks you have at home, but a whole another story when you use 30,500 pieces to create a $5,500 worth model of the Mon Calamari. That is what Thomas Benedikt created and the 7-foot long Lego replica of the famous carrier from Return of the Jedi will stun you both with its magnitude and the skill level it took to get it done. Not easy making these cool vehicles- even if it is not taking off!

Another Star Wars Spaceship and this one clocks up well above the 30,000 mark once again in terms of Lego pieces used. Paul Yperman was inspired by a Star Wars book to build a Lego Spaceship and it took him a good 2 years before that vision turned to reality. All that time and effort though have ensured that he gets a place in the list of the best Lego Spaceships… executed to perfection.

From Star Wars to Star Trek, this is the Starship U.S.S. Enterprise, Constitution Class and this is a dream of all those who love the original series. Seems like it has been crafted to perfection and while seem good enough for a Hollywood production. I am sure William Shatner approves!

This is 33 inches long, 22 inches wide and 8.5 inches tall and is part of collector’s edition of the Millennium Falcon. If you are a Star wars fanboy, then there is no way you can escape its charm. You have everything you want inside along with mini figures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-wan Kenobi, Luke and Princess Leia. Yes, mini figures… not the real one in gold bikini.

This A-Wing Carrier was designed to enter the Star wars universe and rightly so. 6 feet long and consisting of whooping 12,000 pieces, this one is for those who love the lasers, blasters and a bit of variety being added to the otherwise dark and mostly sterile world.

Love all that fight in the video game world? Then you will love the Lego model of the Starcraft Terran Battlecruiser. Coming with 3 detailed Zerg mutalisks, this one is for those who wish to add that extra nasty zing to their collection.

You can buy this one out in the stores and build it yourself at home. That should be a bit of fun after all the other impressive work we have just witnessed. And to add to the fun you get your Apollo crew as well; a couple of astronauts ready to explore any terrain you place your Lunar Lander on.

This one is as much about the extensive details as it is about the ship itself. With laser guns, escape pods, docking stations and wide variety of details along with the 17 crew members on the inside, this one is complete with a medical facility and research center. Looks so much like something NASA would have trotting around in pristine white.
