samsungmc1Adding another sting to their bow, Samsung Electronics Co., one of the largest producer of the consumer electronics including flat-screen televisions, mobile phones, MP3 players and laptop computers, on Monday highlighted the industry’s first 40-nanometer memory chip, which will allow digital devices to work faster by saving new data more quickly, with new 32 Gigabit NAND flash device; and also claimed to improve the manufacturing development technology from 40 nm to 30 and even 20nm, in future.

This is for the first time that a Charge Trap Flash (CTF) based NAND, an innovative move on, is used to increase manufacturing efficiency and reliability of the memory by dipping inter-cell sound stages, said Samsung.

Compound features of 32 GB NAND flash memory makes it suitable for 64-Gigabytes density memory cards as well that can store over 64 hours of DVD motion movies or 16,000 MP3 music records.
