3D TV could be three years away

The continue efforts of European researchers have reached to a spot when they are able to make the 3D viewing reality without any sucking glasses. The crew informed that the people around the world will be able to watch the 3D television within next three years.

A crew of about 200 researchers from far seven countries has been engaged to the project aided by the European Commission. The team is looking into all facets of 3D technology, like confining 3D motion scenes, computerized representation, transmission and display.
Levent Onural, co-coordinator of the multinational 3DTV network, says:
With stereoscopic cinema, we think that there will be huge interest from the movie-goers, and we think it will be available in regular movie houses in three years and some people might want to purchase 3D television sets for home viewing.
