Hitachi's new stereoscopic vision display technology promises 3-D optical illusions
With yet another technological breakthrough, Hitachi seems to be all set to take the 'small sized stereoscopic vision display technology' to a new horizon. The company has developed an interesting device comprising of systematically arranged highly reflective mirrors that can produce an amazing 3-D optical illusion effect. This device measures 7.9- x 7.9- x 3.9-inches and weighs mere 2.2-pounds.

Researchers at Hitachi opine that this device may find its use in schools, colleges, fairs, exhibitions and museums. The image this device produces is actually the exact replica of the original object; this is all made possible through various principles of 'light reflection techniques' that Hitachi has incorporated. They all have kept their fingers crossed as they are destined to debut this technology at the 'SIGGRAPH 2007'.
