LaCie is out with a new hi-speed USB 2.0 hard drive in a portable 5.25" 1U form factor.

The LaCie Big Disk has been designed for low-cost storage expansion and comes with an extremely large capacity of 1TB. This plug & play drive is said to deliver high performance with maximum convenience.
Its durable d2 body has been uniquely designed to disperse heat with 500GB and 600GB drives being without the fan and has a smart fan technology has been used in the 1TB disc drive which allows for a quite operation.
The size of the disc is 6.7x1.7x10.6 inches, weighs 2.5 kg and comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
