The world’s filled with creations that have been modeled around Pixar Animation Studios produced computer animated sci-fi romance movie the Wall-E. All ardent fanatics have built their share of contraptions, while the other like us have appreciated every little, to the biggest detail in them. It’s possible we’ve forgotten those charismatic PC case mods and robots inspired by the Wall-E, therefore we’ve gone into the depths of the internet to find you the 15 best Wall-E inspired creations you’ll definitely want to see. Wall E case mod pictured here is a significant Wall-E iteration closest to the real. Nothing to actually detail on this one, but we see it’s complete with the flap.

Mail-E

A paper-crafted Mail E robot is actuated by three 9g mini-servos, and controlled by a SD21 servo driver and a picaxe 18x, simple enough motors to let the head and hand move to alert. Idea seems way better than those silly mail visualizers, but if Yamada, as he hopes, can add wireless connectivity to the bot, taking it beyond the desk sitters image.

NXT Mindstorms hacker, BlueToothWiki paid his tribute to the Wall-E robot by building a Wall-E that could show him some love and keep his room clean for him! Based on a leaked picture, the bot won one of the NXTLog building challenges last year and was crafted entirely out of one NXT retail kit and one 2007 TECHNIC Bulldozer kit. The best thing is that it actually works and uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect, verify and scoop trash right away keeping your room clean.

This Wall-E inspired 1.5-meter high and 77cm tall DustCar is a happy-go-lucky garbage robot that takes instructions through a touchscreen mounted on its body. The robot moves on tires avoiding obstacles using its built-in recognition system with a laser sensor to understand what’s in front of it and make distinctions in trash and obstruction. Equipped with a GPS system, the robot takes SMS alerts for chores and can travel up to 16k /h to 24 km/h, whereby it can be left loose to wander from door to door to collect almost 30kg of garbage.

This Wall-E robot measures 150mm x 150mm x 160 high, it made using a pair of Mattracks for motive power and two robosapienV2 hip motors. For controls the robot features BS2P40 stamp CPU and feature bright glowing eyes.

Bazmarc, an Wall-E enthusiast from the Trossen Robotics Community Forums has created a cuter and fatter Wall-E with Lego bricks. It isn’t bereft of features, though. The Lego Wall-E carries a rechargeable pack, 3 Servo Motors, 2 Infra red receivers, 1 NXTservo module, and a wide range of other sensors and motors.

Wall-E the Transformer appears to be a one-of-a-kind contraption. But it’s difficult to imagine Disney allowing an unauthorized Wall-E Transformer to be sold anywhere.

This Pixar-inspired Butler Robot has Wall-E’s eyes. This robotic butler made an appearance at Shanghai’s New International Expo Center. Sadly there are no details about the robot.

Made especially for Wall-E executive producer John Lasseter, the model was constructed out of laser cut wood by the Morpheous studio in the UK, and you can’t have it, because it’s one of a kind and if anyone’s stealing it from John Lasseter’s desk.

This interactive Wall-E robot does all that you could expect from it. It is a bit high priced but it is worth the money and could make grand with a few more feature additions. It has a variety of sensors for obstacle avoidance, obeys voice commands and mimics the 'real' Wall-E very well.

Made by a Russian modder in 18 days this case mod is very close to replicating the original Wall-E. The mod is designed to open its optical drive without any external help. The icing on the cake could be to a load a Ben Burke voiceover for then, nothing would differentiate it from the original.

We’ve seen the likes of Wall-E Terminator figurines and Gundams in varying avatars mesmerizing us appreciators each time. Sculptors at Art From Steel have hand-sculpted figures of TV and movie characters. And this Wall-E made in recycled steel is just one of the many hundreds by these talented guys.

Lead by Jawa Lunk this Wall-E iteration has eyes created using a rounded aluminum sheet that entails two LED flashlights. PVC tubes cut out of the sink drain were used to create the arms. Indeed, Jawa used PVC tubes of two different measurements inserting one into the other to facilitate movement of the arms. Another member of the group suggested that the yellow #120 from Walmart’s Color Place Brand was the ideal color to match the original.

Wall-E inspired Nintendo Gamecube case mod has a front platform which shuts front ports to render mobility to plastic arms and hands, and enable it to take up different positions. Like the original wall-E, this Gamecube is anointed with a thin airbrushed acrylic film. Just a single specification differentiates it from the original one- bright white eyes. Rest is just perfect and dimensions suits its overall look.
