DVD drives not working, need help?

Recently I started facing some weird problems with my PC’s D-drive. Until a few days ago I was able to put a music CD in my D-drive, play music on it or even rip the music to my hard drive. About two to three days ago this thing became more problematic, and now it is not even recognizing a music CD. CDs like Data CDs and DVDs are of no problem whether they have documents or photos or anything on it. Can anyone tell me, whether it is a hardware or software problem? The drive is a LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1H. If there is a problem with the drive itself, I can certainly replace it, but if it's software, I don't know where to begin. Can you please help me with tried and tested solutions?

The main reason behind this type of problem is dust. When the dust keep coming in the lenses of the DVD driver it shows the message of no DISC . The time when you not use your DVD driver you must keep it safe by proper covering it otherwise this type of problem is common with the DVD driver. So for that first of all try to open the cabinet of your DVD driver through some screw driver. After that clean all of its parts with some brush or any dust removing device specially the lens of the DVD driver. Reassemble them again after cleaning and try to rerun the CD. If it is working properly than the problem is removed completely. If not than contact to service center of DVD driver. If your device is in warranty than they will repair that in no extra cost. Hope these all information comes good for you. It was really nice to help you.
