The SuperFetch service helps in preloading system memory for applications which you utilise more often. This makes launching of that application very faster. But also it may be unwanted behaviour of system for system tweakers or gamer. In order to increase the performance of Windows 7, the priority of SuperFetch has been slightly reduced.

There is no evidence that disabling this service helps in increase the performance of Windows. If you frequently open and close applications than it is recommended to leave this service alone. You can check your system configuration for sure.

Here is step by step process that will help you to disable windows 7 SuperFetch.

First of all open services in control penal. You can open it by typing “services.msc “ in start search or in run menu.

Now find SuperFetch service in list.

Double-click on SuperFetch to open up its properties. In a tab named general there is one option of Startup type. Change it and drop it down to Disable. Click on Apply and then OK. Now SuperFetch is disabled on your system. You can also click on stop button to immediately turn it off.

Note: If you disable this service system boot time will increase and it will take longer time to load applications.
