Design
The attractive laptop with high gloss finish and pacific blue exterior has a sleek and sexy look. The magnesium alloy design and barrel hinges provide smooth display movement. Once opened, the laptop provides a black conservative classy plastic design. The buttons along the top of keyboard are touch sensitive but do not light up with a glow. The black colored keyboard and textured black plastic palm rest looks sophisticated, but it has a side effect of picking skin oil and sweat when used which makes the laptop look dirty and tarnished. The LCD panel also has some flex as it is possible to produce ripples on the screen when back of the panel is pressed firmly. The keyboard seems business like with black matte keys instead of the glossy painted keys. The typing experience is pleasant with barely audible click and very little keyboard flex. The touchpad is of considerably smaller size but there is no problem with the performance. The mouse buttons are relatively good with nice, deep press and quiet clicks. In nutshell, the sleek attractive design with solid built quality can seamlessly travel by your side.
Bottomline

The new Dell Inspiron 13R is very impressive. With its versatility, sleek design, optimum performance and reasonable price it is highly recommended for both professional as well as personal use.
