How to customize fedora desktop?

I was sick with windows problems so I thought of trying linux. And I installed fedora 10 on my system, I really liked working with it. It is really very fast and reliable. I haven't got any infections ever since. But there is a little problem... I was trying to customize the fedora desktop but I could not find the option where it is. Please tell me how do I make the changes to my active desktop?

The Theme: right, now go to Control Center -> Appearance & Themes -> Theme Manager and click on Plastik theme, and then hit the apply button. Wait for the theme to be applied and you will see the buttons and the windows changing into a nice looking theme. You need to make the kicker transparent, so you have to go to control center, desktop, panels and in the first tab, arrangement, select the position to bottom center and the size to normal. Then hit apply. Next, go to appearance tab and check the enable icon mouseover effects option and at panel background section, select enable transparency option, then hit the advanced options button and, in the window that appears. Every modern desktop has now widgets on desktop, so we have to add some eye candy widgets on our desktop too. Go to Control Center, Appearance & Themes, Icons and install the Nuvola theme. After it is installed you will see it on the list of icon themes. Click on the apply button. You will notice that most of the visible icons are changed. Good luck.
