How to make custom keyboard shortcuts windows 7?

I found a lot of windows 7 shortcuts. They are very good to know and handy. But I was thinking if we can make our own shortcuts. Wouldn't that be amazing? Do you guys know any way of defining custom keyboard shortcuts windows 7?

Create a keyboard shortcuts to just open programs. first, you will just need to create a the shortcuts for the program to which you want to just assign a keyboard shortcut. just open the folder that also contains the program's executable file, even the right-click it, and then click Create Shortcut.

  1. now you need to Locate the shortcut to the program that you really want to create a keyboard shortcut for.

  2. now just Right click the shortcut, and then click to its Properties.

  3. now you need to go In the Shortcut Properties dialog box

  4. now Click in the Shortcut key box, then press the key on your keyboard that you want to use in combination with Ctrl+Alt which is keyboard shortcuts automatically start with Ctrl+Alt, and then click OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If you are using a program that also has a keyboard shortcut using the same key combination as the well known shortcut you just created, then your shortcut might not work.
