How to get a copy of live cd ubuntu?

I like using linux very much. I have been a linux user since 2 years now. The one I liked the most was ubuntu. I had it on my system but I changed it to Fedora then for my project requirements. But somebody was telling me the other day that ubuntu Live cd is out there. I think I want to give it a try. It could be run on the computer without installation. Where can I get a copy of this live cd ubuntu? What are your views onn it?

There are two ways to get the copy of Ubuntu Live CD

  • You may Order it from Ubuntu's official web site ( but it takes time to reach you and also you have to pay a small amount for it)
  • The most easiest, convenient and preferred way to get Ubuntu Live CD is downloading Ubuntu Live CD image from Ubuntu's website,

you may either choose direct download option but if your internet connection is not very stable then I would advise you to download it via torrent, and when you are done downloading iso image, then just burn that image to a disk, and you have a Ubuntu Live CD,

with the help of which you may run Ubuntu on your computer without having to install it on your hard disk, so which means first you may try the operating system without tampering your currently installed operating system, and if you like it then you may continue by installing it.

And as far as my views regarding Ubuntu are concerned I would say it is one of the most user friendly Linux Distro available.

Hope this helps
