Why no constatnt ping ttl 64?

The SQL server was giving some problems. So I was trying to ping the server. Ping is successfully all of the times but the value of TTL which is time to live is fluctuating. It should be constant 64 I guess. What is the problem here?

Its not necessary for ping command to have ttl 64ms.

TTL means time to leave.

Its all depend on how many switch, router, hub it cross and mostly on network traffic.

If virus related traffic is generated from PC itself, it is called flooding. Use some license Antivirus for it. My experience says Norton 2012 internet security is best. It costs INR 2000 to 2100 for 3 users.

Don't use any free antivirus. They are not upto level and not reliable.

If you still attached to free version try combofix.

URL for combofix:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/combofix

It is very effective, robust and standalone tool for removing hard virus as well as flooding related spyware.

When talk to sql server, please tell which topology is used and what type of application you are using.
