Everyone knows the windows, and everyone has at least touched a mac. What about Linux? Statistically it seems that almost no one uses Linux. Microsoft is the monolopy and has been for decades. When people attack and rebel against the windows almost always switch to Mac but why? Ease of use and reliability are the most common responses.Others include video editing and audio mastering superiority. I will not go into details of why Windows is less than most things. We will just assume an understanding. These are good reasons to switch to a Mac Most people do not realize it, but they are also good reasons to switch to Linux. So let's say you're tired of viruses and bugs in Windows and want to leave. Remember that cool new iphone I saw in the coffee shop and that's enough. You want to change. Before going to drop a couple grand on a new desktop lets you stop and compare.

Mac hardware is often as universal as Dells (ie not at all). That can not be a problem but remember it for later. Mac are available in every computer store. You can just go buy one and plug it in and go. Go to Best Buy and ask someone to Linux computers. Probably they'll laugh at you because there are none. Most computer manufacturers (HP, Dell, Sony), does not use Linux because there is no money in it for them. Not just because Linux is unpopular, but because Linux is free to the public. Remember that the Windows disk that paid hundreds of dollars? Screams. LINUX IS ABSOLUTELY FREE. Because manufacturers do not use Linux, people are not exposed to it, thus making it less popular, and so the cycle continues. You never see a Linux commercial television advertising and would pay for a thing? No entity owns or has rights to it and therefore no money deriving from such investment.
