How to clean dns cache in windows?

I have a desktop computer and every time I get a query dns provider is queried unless the information is stored in the cache. The Microsoft windows operating system keep track of all dns look ups in the cache to speed up the connection for future visits to previously visited websites or servers. But I want to clean it for fast internet speed and site filtering. So can anyone tell me the method of clearing my system dns cache?

If you feel that by clearing the DNS cache, you can improve upon your internet browsing speeds and site filtering, then you can easily clear the DNS cache by making use of the command prompt in windows. To clear the DNS cache, log on to windows using the administrator account. Now go to Start, search for command prompt and run it. Once inside the command prompt, type the command: ipconfig /flushdns and press enter. This command will flush your DNS resolver cache. The command prompt will also notify you of the same by displaying a success message, if successful. Also note, that this command, apart from completely clearing the DNS cache, will also delete the erroneous entries too. Now, to view the current status of the DNS resolver cache, you can use the command: ipconfig /displaydns. Further, if you want to disable DNS caching until your next reboot, you can use the command: net stop dnscache. You may also disable the DNS caching permanently by following these steps:

1. Click Run under the Start menu.

2. In the run command box, type Services.msc.

3. A windows is displayed which lists all the services and you have to find the service named DNS client under it.

4. Now double click on the DNS client service and click on stop.
