Chasys Draw IES Artist is a free, full-featured image editing and drawing program that does what the big box of programs like Adobe Photoshop can do, with some unique touches that set it apart and make it actually easier to use than the competition.
When installing Chasys Draw, you have the option to associate with different types of files, which is useful if you want your default graphical tool, you can change these associations, at any time, too. The main interface is similar to most graphics programs in design, its complement of tools and functions, and the use of layers. Wizard-like steps to simplify the process of creating a project and open and edit a picture, video or a compatible file. We clicked New Project, and the program took us through the steps to select a new image, video, or draft label of the disk or scanning an image. We selected a blank document, choosing the size, orientation, resolution, and background colors. We start with the brush tool, freehand drawing with the mouse and Wacom pen. Most of the wide range of program brushes, effects, and tools are similar to Photoshop and other programs. Draw Chasys accepts plug-ins, too. What we like about this tool, and what sets it apart are its customizable Windows Aero support transparency, which kept the windows without tools and semi-transparent until activated by placing the mouse cursor, and its pop-up labels and explanations, and the way the help file opens in the entry for the first time you start the function. Other small details, but useful to distinguish Chasys Draw from the package, such as small icons in the left corner to rotate images from portrait to landscape. This package also includes a versatile generator of icons, a calculator, a notepad utility, and a generator of the color palette. Raw photo tool offers many options which is essentially a stand-alone tool, while the tool Image Converter is powerful and flexible.
Draw IES Artist Chasys long ago that it would take some time to cover everything. It is a legitimate alternative to the big money, imaging tools big-box on its own merits, and even more so because it is freeware.
