If you are new to linux, you probably will ask how to change the hostname of your computer. (A hostname is the unique name by which a network attached device is known on a network.) If you enter the wrong host name during the installation, and you need to change the hostname, so I am giving the procedure of doing this. First of all you have to click on edit file and like Editfile /etc/sysconfig/network using your favorite editor. Then change the hostname xxxx to the name you wish to set for your computer. Save the file and restart the xinetd service. It has been done.
