Gorgeous black bedecked with a sumptuous circuitry of iPad, LCD screens and big speakers, while the boisterous trike frame being ardently complimented by a classic set of robust wheels - this in short is the enticing Bat-trike. Adroitly designed, assembled and contrived by professional auto-modder Mark Abate, the bantam craft certainly set the stage on fire at this year's CES. The Gotham-esque influence will be pretty easy to comprehend by the die hard fans of the caped crusader. But how the grandiose transformation from conventional trike to Bat-trike took place, can rather be an inspiration in itself.

The modder actually started out with a stock 2010 Can-Am Spyder trike. He then painstakingly worked his way around to the magnificent final specimen. For this, the designer had to make quite a few improving alterations for that imposing visual allure. The rear part of the trike was considerably raised with a massive customized tire. Other structural enhancements included the extension of the swing arm by 15 inches, and installation of custom airlift airbags for adjustment of ground clearance.
The changes were not only limited to the overall majestic bearing, but they were also continued on the aesthetic and driver experience side of affairs. For this, the vehicle was embellished with aptly flamboyant body parts, along with a conspicuous neon lighting system. But since we are talking about a CES exhibition, the best part of the conception is certainly the iPad integration by the front handle. This exalted tablet device in turn is directly connected to the flanking speakers and dual LCD screens, for that efficacious enjoyment of on-board multimedia with navigation attributes.
Finally, coming to the element of pricing, Mark Abate made it somewhat clear that his impressive design is not for sale (at least, if not offered the 'right' price). But beyond the financial front, it is always good to see such ambitious yet heartfelt conceptions smartly adorning the aisles of CES.
