I have a triple monitor setup running on a 9800GT nvidia quadro NVS and 295 (PCIe x1). I have things setup with xinerama so I can use all three of my monitors so it was like a big huge thing. So while this setup serves my purposes in many ways, there are also some inconveniences:
xrandr does not work with xinerama;
compositing does not work across two cards. So no compiz, and worse yet, no transparency.
Twinkle fullscreen videos (youtube, hulu, etc.) does not work well at all.

Gather all of the following affairs of any xinerama or two video cards. So I'm thinking it may be time to upgrade to an ati card that can run an Eyefinity setup.

So far I wanted to use the AMD ATI Eyefinity had to have certain hardware requirements, ideally a family card series Radeon HD 5000 Eyefinity multiple DisplayPort outputs so you can connect multiple LCD at the same time, however, even with this was another detail, it also had to have monitors with DisplayPort connection, and these are not easy to find since only a handful of models that incorporate this type of connectivity is not yet crowded at all.
To resolve this issue, AMD will begin offering an ever from September savior, adapter or dongle for DisplayPort to DVI sinplificar or facilitate the implementation of their technology Eyefinity. So AMD has worked with some partners to ensure the compatibility of its technology in a wider range of users and computers, allowing use on any LCD monitor that has DVI connection (saving you the step to acquire an expensive new LCD with DisplayPort connection. Of course, this implementation will support resolutions up to 1920 × 1200 with support DPCP / HDCP.
The price of this adapter will be $ 29.99 and will be sold separately by some AMD partners like XFX, PowerColor, Sapphire, Acell, Wieson and others, but will also be included in the bundle of some graphics cards that are marketed after September.
