So here comes the nerdiest, geekiest and the coolest coffee mug that is sure to hold your fuel in style (and make heads turn in your office)—the Battery Thermokruzhkus Mug.

With a name that is literally impossible to pronounce, it is sure to make your colleagues steal a second glance at it, maybe you will rarely find anyone borrowing your coffee mug unless they can pronounce its name properly. The Battery Thermokruzhkus mug is an average sized mug that can hold 10 ounces of your favorite hot/cold beverage. But here’s the catch, it really gets interesting when you pour in hot beverage. There’s a battery level indicator on the side that “lights up” when any hot beverage is poured into the mug.

The technology is simplistic, yet it manages to pull off total sophistication. Any liquid hotter than 97F (or 36C) will trigger the battery outline on the side of the mug to glow. The battery outline is divided into green cells that glow to their maximum strength when the liquid is at its hottest. As the temperature of the beverage goes down, the power bar gradually decreases to indicate that your beverage is approaching room temperature. An empty battery level indicates that it’s time to get a hot refill to keep your own power cells juiced up.
