The Japanese technology maker Toshiba has announced the world’s thinnest tablet, called the AT200. With a depth of just 7.7mm, the Android 3.2 Honeycomb-based tablet is to come out early next year. The 10.1-inch tablet will be equipped with 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory with a microSD slot. The LCD display offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Toshiba has been talking about the tablet for a along time. Now it has officially announced that the AT200 tablet will hit stores in January next year. ASUSTeK’s upcoming Eee Pad Transformer Prime, the first quad core processor-powered tablet in the world, will have a thickness of just 8.33mm and weight of 586 grams. Asus announced the quad core version of its famous Eee Pad Transformer Android tablet series last week. The 10.1-inch device is slated to arrive in stores late this year or early next year. Toshiba Regza AT700 is to become another thinnest tablet from the Japanese technology maker. The company kicked off Regza AT700 at CEATEC 2011. The device is with a weight of 558 grams and the same 7.7mm thinness of AT200, which was announced at IFA 2011, Berlin. Toshiba Regza AT700 will also run on Android and the product is yet to come out of curtains.
