The Elfoids are the new generation cell phones that look like naked silhouettes of human beings. This humanoid cell phone is a collaborated project of NTT Docomo, Qualcomm and Osaka University. The human structures are an attempt of the designers of the same to create a sense of physical presence even in auditory communication. This cell phone is a mini answering machine too, a prototype of Telenoid R1, which has optical lights on its chest and head to indicate different signals.
